Hey, would you look over there?
Do you see that ant wondering where,
Where is her house, where are her friends?
Here, disappearing never ends!
Wait just one minute, look and see...
That silly little ant looks like me!!
Watch her carry such a heavy load,
On what seems to be a never ending road!
She's working and striving.
She's passionate and thriving!
Working through very hot days and dewy nights.
This little ant wants things just right.
When she is finally finished building her home,
A hose floods it away to what seems like Rome!
No matter how hard this little ant tries
Her entire life has been full of good-byes!
Just to make a friend she will wait and wait
But by the time she makes one, it's too late!
Her new friend either dies, disappears or moves.
She searches and searches in cracks and grooves.
But it's not worth it you see.
And this poor little ant is all she can be!
If this ant has pain, tears and heartbreak like me,
Then one thing's certain, it ant easy!
